About this role
As Receptionist/Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, welcoming them on arrival and coordinating seating and reservations for a smooth start to their visit.
Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome every guest on arrival and departure
- Oversee the host stand and reception area — reservations check-in, walk-ins, and the waitlist
- Coordinate table assignments and manage wait times together with the floor team
- Recognize regular and VIP guests
- Handle bookings, modifications, and guest enquiries by phone and in person
- Keep the reception/host area tidy and presentable
Requirements
- Previous experience in a reception or host role within a restaurant is beneficial
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional, welcoming manner
- Strong organizational skills, especially under time pressure
- Comfort coordinating with servers and management on seating
