Cookie Policy

1. About cookies

Cookies are small files placed on your device when you use a website or app, together with similar technologies such as local storage. They help the Platform work, keep you signed in securely, and remember your preferences.

2. Cookies we use

Shiftly limits cookies to what the Platform needs to operate, and groups them into the categories below.

  • Necessary: strictly necessary cookies and similar storage support authentication, sessions and security, and keep you signed in. This category also includes remembering the cookie choice you make below, stored in your browser rather than shared with anyone. Necessary storage is essential and does not require consent.
  • Preference: preference cookies remember display and account settings you choose.
  • Analytics: where Shiftly uses analytics to understand how the Platform performs, this operates only where you have given analytics consent through the cookie preferences tool described in section 4, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
  • Marketing: on the public website, Shiftly uses HubSpot, a marketing and customer-relationship-management service, to understand how visitors and prospective employers find Shiftly and to support follow-up on enquiries. HubSpot, and the cookies it sets (including hubspotutk, __hstc, __hssc and __hssrc), load only after you give marketing consent through the cookie preferences tool, and only on Shiftly's live production website — preview and development versions of the website never load it. Where you give marketing consent, Shiftly may also store limited campaign information, such as which link, search term or page first brought you to the site, in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, so Shiftly can understand which channels lead to enquiries.

3. Duration

Some cookies last only for your session and are deleted when you close your browser. Others persist for a defined period. Authentication cookies last only as long as needed to keep you signed in securely.

4. Your choices

Where consent is required for a non-essential cookie, you can accept or reject it and change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the website footer. You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Platform from working.

5. Changes

Shiftly may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies it uses, and will notify material changes as described in the Privacy Policy.
