As a Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen team with mise en place and cooking tasks, learning the standards expected in a professional culinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare mise en place ahead of and during service
- Support section chefs with cooking and plating dishes to LPM's standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen station
- Follow food hygiene and safety protocols at all times
- Build culinary skills and knowledge alongside more experienced colleagues
- Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
Requirements
- Basic culinary training or hands-on kitchen experience is beneficial
- Solid knife skills and recipe awareness
- Understanding of food hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- A positive attitude and genuine interest in cooking
